Dawna Eskridge

 

• Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Dawna M. Eskridge has always held a deep desire to be a successful and accomplished visual artist. 

• "Initially beginning college studies as an engineering student, I eventually decided to major in graphic design. Attending San Jose State University provided classical art courses of study and computer technology as the medium for creative expression.   

• Throughout my career as a graphic designer, art director, and illustrator, I explored image, text and message, and also continued to paint, mixed media, and photography as personal projects."

• Dawna has always been a tactile artist, who enjoys the feel of brush, pen, or pencil, on paper or canvas, while also utilizing the computer. 

• "Art has always been a way to express my emotions, thoughts, and feelings. As a way to give voice to what is happening in my internal and external world. The inner techie can explore the intersection of geometric abstraction and sacred geometry, while my inner environmentalist can engage in creating abstract and dimensional art from found or repurposed objects. The results can be abstract or whimsical images with bold and vivid colors.
