• It all started a few years ago when I was cleaning out a closet of my wife's old art supplies that included her paints, brushes, and a blank canvas when I decided to try my hand at painting. Initially I tried painting scenes with family members that I gave away to the people depicted.

• My gallery shows some of my early work — my son surfing, my grandson skiing, and my daughter on her horse, Abby, at the beach, as well as a portrait of my wife from the top of Half Dome in Yosemite. My ongoing motivation has been to try to capture the memories of some of the places my wife and I visited on many of our travels and back-country adventures throughout the years.
