Suzanne was born in Washington D.C., and lived there until moving West at age 27. As a child her "art" was designing doll clothes, with a goal to becoming a fashion designer. In high school, Suzanne's interest veered to business and economics. She earned a degree in Business Administration from George Washington University and began a career in the business world. After her children were grown, her interest in art bloomed once again and she took drawing classes at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and DeAnza College. She paints both at home and with small groups of other artists. Her works include various subjects, from children at the beach to flowers, but have evolved primarily to depiction of animals. She has a great love for wildlife and their habitats, some of which she has observed during her travels over the years. She has a passion for dogs; owning two and interacting with many more at Humane Society Silicon Valley in Milpitas, where she volunteers as a dog socializer.
